Simon Lake – IFT Accredited Member 

Simon Lake has over ten years’ business recovery and turnaround expertise, predominantly as Finance Director (FD). Simon founded Atlantis Partners Ltd with Bob Wiggins, providing specialist resources for companies in financially challenging, distressed situations. 

Recent turnaround experience includes Interim FD at: Silver Spring Soft Drinks Ltd, t/o £38m, 200 employees; Adams Childrenswear retailer, t/o £115m, 1,900 employees, and Pettifer Group Ltd property and construction, t/o £70m, 200 employees. 

Simon’s first turnaround was Cool Chain Ltd (’97-’01) t/o £42m, 300 employees. He joined four Turnaround Managers to aggressively manage its recovery - turning £3m losses p/a into substantial profits, and subsequently, the business’s successful sale to Dart Group plc. 

Simon is a Chartered Management Accountant. Prior to turnaround, Simon had ten years financial experience in industry and commerce, when he worked for P&O Nedlloyd, RMC and GEC.

Simon enjoys time with his children, his rock band, and riding his Harley Davidson.
