Robert Paterson – IFT Associate

Robert has significant experience of all aspects of distressed companies and partnerships. He also helps lenders, funds and family offices on how to protect their exposure, and advises boards of directors in financially distressed situations. He recently advised an energy fund on financing a renewable energy project in Scotland. 

Prior to joining Moon Beever in June 2018, Robert was a partner at Gowling WLG.

Robert is a licensed (but non-appointment taking) insolvency practitioner. Despite being primarily a non-contentious lawyer, Robert has had several reported cases in the High Court, and has twice won appeals for clients in the Court of Appeal.

He has also acted on cross-border matters, and is currently advising in relation to a distressed Belgian property group.
