Philip Smith – IFT Fellow
Philip has over 25 years of experience in turnaround. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at West End accounting practice Philip joined KPMG where he worked from 1997 to 2006 primarily in the Restructuring and Lender Services Teams. In 2007 Philip became an independent executive and normally takes roles such as Chairman, Chief Executive or Chief Restructuring Officer. He has led many successful turnaround projects in both advisory and management capacities.
Philip is a Chartered Accountant, a Corporate Treasurer and a Fellow of the Institute for Turnaround (“IFT”). He holds an Institute for Turnaround practicing certificate and has previously been an IFT Board Director.
Philip has worked internationally and has completed assignments and has experience in the UK & Ireland, Middle East, Continental Europe, United States and China.
Philip has a diverse sector experience which includes: airlines, distribution, care homes, healthcare, hotels, hospitals, information technology, manufacturing, retail, power generation, professional services, real estate, security and telecommunications.
