I have an extensive track record of delivering results and added value for my clients across a range of situations and business types, often under significant time and cash pressure.

My clients will be grappling with a multitude of issues and complexities as they navigate through periods of expansion and / or stress. My role is to provide expert ‘hands on’ support as a means of bridging to the successful achievement of short, medium or long-term goals. I am experienced in identifying the critical success factors that are inhibiting a business, and working with the stakeholders to drive appropriate change, ultimately benefiting profit/cash generation and long term viability.

I am a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA, having trained with EY). I worked as a Director at AlixPartners, a global consulting practice, for 9 years, with responsibility for leading national and international assignments.  I am not a qualified or licensed insolvency practioner, and hence free from any perceived conflict in this regard and genuinely focused on working towards a successful turnaround.

During my career, I have played a leading role in over 100+ financial restructuring / turnaround and corporate finance assignments for a range of stakeholders (owners, directors, shareholders, lenders, private equity). Sector expertise includes retail, leisure (including hotels and casual dining), healthcare, manufacturing, professional services and aviation. 

I have extensive experience of the following:

(1) turnaround and transformation scenarios, including viability, strategic, independent and cash flow reviews;

(2) refinancing, financial covenant resets and equity fundraising;

(3) working capital management, monitoring and improvement;

(4) preparation of financial forecasts;

(5) assessment and enhancement of financial reporting and control environments;

(6) negotiation support; 

(7) preparation of data to support due diligence processes; and

(8) cost rationalisation and post-acquisition integration support.
