Nick Carmichael is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice in London.

Nick specialises in advising both companies (listed or private), including their Boards and shareholders, as well as lenders/creditors (including formal and informal groups thereof) in complex international restructuring situations, often where there is a new money or capital raising requirement.

Nick has advised numerous stakeholder groups across many industries including real estate, healthcare, oil and gas, chemicals, telecoms, logistics and infrastructure. He has advised on a wide range of financing products and structures including secured and unsecured senior and subordinated leveraged loans, bonds (IG and HY) and project finance. Nick also has significant experience of successfully navigating challenging timetables and market conditions as well as underlying corporate liquidity and performance issues.   This experience has included strategic, operational and financial assessments, crisis management and stabilisation, complex stakeholder options analysis, financial restructuring and/or refinancing and multi-tiered stakeholder management.

Prior to joining FTI, Nick was a partner in PwC’s Financial Restructuring practice in London. Nick has also held senior origination and execution roles in the workout and leveraged finance teams of several major North American and European investment banks.

Nick is a CFA charterholder.
