Michael Corner-Jones

Michael Corner-Jones – IFT Accredited Member 

Michael Corner-Jones is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring in London. He brings 19 years of turnaround experience and has held a number of board, senior executive and senior advisory roles at large, complex, multinational organisations.

Currently Mike is serving as the Chief Restructuring Officer of Eircom, the Irish universal telecom provider which is undergoing a financial restructuring of its €3.8bn of debt and which entered an Irish Examinership process in March 2012. In 2010 Mike was the Chief Restructuring Officer of Greek telco Wind Hellas (a successful €1.8bn financial restructuring) which involved a COMI shift, an M&A process and numerous restructuring procedures being undertaken.

Mike has worked in numerous sectors including telecoms, food distribution, medical products, energy, automotive, and oil and gas. 

Mike has an MA in business administration (distinction) from Manchester Business School. He is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (AMCT).
