Martin has more than 35 years’ experience of working in the transactional property market, primarily in the hotel and licensed leisure sectors. Martin has worked with many of the industry’s leading hotel owners and operators having overseen some of the sectors most high profile deals and transactions.
As one of the most prominent hotel sector specialists in the North of England, Martin provides strategic disposal and acquisition advice to a wide range of clients including independent and corporate hotel owners, operators, and investors as well as speculators, high net worth individuals, banks, accountant’s turnaround specialists, insolvency practitioners, solicitors, and other professionals.
Martin joined Graham + Sibbald (G+S) in October 2021 and is based in the firms Manchester office where he is helping to lead the presence of the firm’s hotel and leisure sector services across England. G+S have an established team of experienced hotel and leisure sector specialists based across the United Kingdom, with considerable experience in valuing, advising, and selling all manner of hotel assets across the UK. We have a strong track record in working across all types of hotels, from individual privately owned assets to corporately branded portfolios. Our expertise also includes hotel brokerage, operator search & selection, funding, development, and advisory services, in each case aligning stakeholders’ interests to secure the best possible outcome for our clients.
We have a particularly strong track record in working with hotel owners, banks, professional advisors and are in regular contact with all the major hotel brands, operators, buyers, sellers, investors, and lenders that are active in the hotel sector. We believe that this sector experience and knowledge places G+S in an ideal position to provide hotel clients with a fully co-ordinated team approach, drawing on experience from some of the UK’s most high-profile Hotel and Leisure deals, development projects and complex negotiations.
