Mark Byers – IFT Accredited Member

Mark is Grant Thornton Head of Client Service Recovery and Reorganisation Practice in the UK and is also the Global Service Line Leader within Grant Thornton International. 

He has over 20 years’ experience covering corporate advisory, investigations, due diligence and financial restructuring.

He regularly advises large banking syndicates to financially distressed businesses in the UK, Europe, North America and Asia. 

In the last five years he has led numerous international workout assignments including high profile restructurings with debt exposure in excess of Ł5billion. This work typically involved identifying and developing financial restructuring opportunities, supported by a combination of capital raising, disposal of non-core businesses and strategic change. Mark also has experience in M&A, IPOs and MBOs.

Mark is an FCA (Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) and FABRP (Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals).
