Kevin Higginson

Kevin Higginson – IFT Accredited Member 

Kevin is a Price Waterhouse trained Chartered Accountant. He has worked predominantly (but not exclusively) with listed businesses having been Group CFO at Hazlewood Foods (and also subsequently appointed CEO), The BSS Group, Low & Bonar and  AEA Technology Group. Kevin was also a Non-Executive Director at Berkeley Berry Birch. In his most recent assignment, as CEO, he took a family business from loss making to profits of £3m in a 6 year period and built a cash pile of £10m.

He has extensive experience of both acquisitions and disposals, including significant cross border transactions as well as the particular requirements of significant Class 1 transactions for listed businesses. He also has substantial experience dealing with defined benefit pension schemes and balance sheet deficits. 

At AEA Kevin was part of the team that ensured that only 5 jobs were lost ( out of over 1000) when the three operating businesses were successfully sold to three new owners and the significant pension fund was passed to the Pension Protection Fund.
