I work with SMEs needing additional senior help both at board and operational level managing money, performance and stakeholder challenges.  Many clients are family owned and run with generational transition and complex family dynamics that require sensitivity and consideration outside of straightforward commercial matters.  My client is always my client regardless of respected introducers. 

My focus is primarily financial and I often work under the guise of FD but will help help identify and implement strategy, improve governance, eliminate waste process and its cost.  I am expert in bespoke financial modelling for short term cash flow and longer range fully integrated forecasts incorporating cash flows alongside profit and loss statements and balance sheets as well as upgrading quality and content of management information.   I am also serially experienced at restructuring lending, raising new funds and also business sale and acquisition processes.   

I often start my relationships with directors where funder concern levels are rising but management are struggling to assess options and communicate the forecasts for those options.   The vast majority of my clients revert to fully viable and exciting futures.  

I have been busy independently since 2011 after working with EY for 14 years (qualifying as a chartered accountant and insolvency practitioner) followed by 4 years with a mid market firm.   When not working, I'll be doing something in the garden hiding from my teenagers/dogs.  And probably thinking about my clients.
