Jon Norton

Jon Norton – IFT Accredited Member 

Jon began his career at Rolls-Royce plc in Derby, England and moved from an engineering role to corporate treasury. He transitioned into banking undertaking roles in financial markets, project finance, export finance, asset-based lending and relationship management in a number of banks in London such as Westpac Banking Corporation, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank and Wells Fargo and in a career spanning over 30 years. He is now originating bespoke financial structures in a special opportunities fund, Crestline Europe, LLP. His career has involved a range of situations ranging from operating at board level in a small and entrepreneurial specialist lender to working in a large bank as head of corporates with a balance sheet of €8bn. Jon transitioned to a portfolio career in 2019 blending the fund role with educational roles. 

Jon graduated in Physics from Imperial College, London and gained an MBA at Cranfield School of Management. In 2017, in preparation for an educational role, he obtained a PGCHE from the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Jon is an Executive Committee member of the London Trade Roundtable, a Liveryman and Charity & Education Committee member of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, member of the Finance & Management MSc Programme Advisory Board at Cranfield School of Management and past Chairman of the Ward of Cordwainer Club.
