As a Partner in DLA Piper's Global Restructuring practice, James typically advises corporate clients, their boards and investors in complex turnaround situations.

 With a particular focus on corporate rescue, James’ experience ranges from consensual transactions such as refinancing, recapitalisation or the disposal of non-core assets through to the use of formal tools such as the restructuring plan, an area in which James and the wider DLA Piper team are regarded as market leaders, achieving recognition as the IFT’s Legal Adviser of the Year for 2023.
