Gavin Leverett

Gavin Leverett is a freelance interim finance and turnaround director. Gavin trained with Grant Thornton and left them in 1996 to pursue an industrial career. 

He joined a listed international manufacturing group, which was taken private by Alchemy Partners and progressed rapidly through the business, ultimately becoming Group Finance Director of the £125m turnover company. 

He left after eight years and joined a PVC windows and doors manufacturer – his first turnaround role. 

Gavin returned to manufacturing in 2009, and was responsible for the Roger Bullivant turnaround. Gavin was also pivotal to the ultimate sale of the business to a large multi-national construction group in 2011.

Since 2011, Gavin spent 4 years as the CFO of a £100m turnover specialist construction fit out company and another 4 years as the MD of a waste management company, which he sold to trade buyers in 2024. 

Since leaving the waste management business, he has successfully undertaken a number of fractional CFO roles, both within the turnaround arena. He is also non-exec Chairman of a fast growth tech company in the construction space and non-exec CFO of a successful specialist plant hire company.
