David Porter is an independent operational turnaround leader with experience in privately held, public and PE owned companies. He reverses corporate decline and leads companies out of distressed situations. His approach is rooted in a three-step framework that consistently delivers increased business valuations:

He works directly with CEOs and manages communication with Boards and external stakeholders. My expertise includes defining and implementing new operating models for disrupted industries and optimizing the use of new technologies to drive strategic change.
- COO at a PE portfolio company in B2B information services. €55M turnover, located in the Netherlands, UK and Germany. Initial restructuring and stabilisation followed by implementation of a new operating model before sale and integration into the acquirer.
- Operational Turnaround of a €250M turnover privately owned EPC. Initial restructuring followed by new operating model implementation and core capability build. Successful refinancing of $800M debt.
- Seven years with Electrolux including roles as Turnaround Director at three subsidiaries (each with own manufacturing, product range, brands, etc.) and other Group roles in Stockholm.
- Defined investment strategy for a multinational food manufacturer and led mobilisation of two £50M+ factory build programmes (US and China).
- Various value creation plan definition and delivery engagements for PE.
- Led the Operations review of an IBR for a European national airline.
His background includes more than seven years experience at each of AlixPartners, Accenture. He has been a FTSE250 ExCo member and is currently a non-executive at a national not for profit adult care business.
