Chris Thomas

Chris Thomas – IFT Accredited Member 

As Managing Partner of SME Finance Partners, Chris runs a professional advisory firm of Finance Directors who work with owner managers and directors of small and medium sized businesses, helping them with all aspects of their financial management.

Chris is a qualified management accountant (1998), with an Economics degree from The University of Wales, College Cardiff (1995).  Chris has over 20 years experience in a variety of finance roles that include working in industry for 15 years (manufacturing, heavy industry, support services), and in a professional advisory capacity for the last 7 years.  

Chris works with a portfolio of businesses, working closely with owner managers, senior management teams and key stakeholders to manage business growth, performance improvement, financial & operational reporting and funding.  His particular expertise is in helping businesses that are experiencing change or challenging trading conditions, developing and delivering on plans to improve performance.  

Strengths include: providing practical, hand on support to business owners, engaging constructively with key stakeholders, cash-flow & working capital management, financial projections, re-financing of businesses.
