Charles Metherell – IFT Accredited Member 

Charles is a partner at JMW, a national law firm where he heads up the Solicitors Advisory and Regulatory Team working with the firm’s Restructuring and Regulatory Groups. 

Charles qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and spent 25 years in private practise in large regional law firms holding managing partner, board and head of department positions. He acted for the SRA and closed down approximately 70 law firms as well as being instructed by law firms directly, Banks, Private Equity, Accountants and Insolvency Practitioners.

Charles spends his time in turnaround and restructuring work for law firms, providing a risk based stability offering covering a firm's regulatory, operational and strategic growth requirements. Charles runs a national practise with offices in London and Manchester and undertakes interim CEO / managing partner roles as well as specific project work very much of a hands on nature. His strengths lie in the implementation of change in order to ensure future sustainability and growth.
