Brent Marshall – IFT Accredited Member 

Brent Marshall is an experienced financier and turnaround professional who has held Board Directorships of public (London Stock Exchange PLC listed) and private companies (VC/PE-backed and subsidiaries of large corporates).

His specific strengths cover: rapid-growth, business transformation, formation/ leadership of successful teams, M&A (including public-to-private), divestments, raising debt/equity, re-leveraging, cash management and strategy creation & deployment. As CEO of Smarter Grid Solutions, Brent increased EV from circa £8m to circa £50m, achieving a solid exit for investors.

Brent is a clear communicator and relationship builder with boards, investors, advisors, customers, suppliers, exec teams and operational teams.

Brent is currently CEO of Smarter Grid Solutions. His previous roles include COO of Datapoint, COO of Zeus Technology, Group FD of Patientline plc, COO of Fiserv Europe and Vice President Finance of Bookham Technology. Sectors in which he has considerable experience include Technology, Telco, Services and Manufacturing.

Brent holds Fellowships with both the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is a Member of the Institute for Turnaround.
