Away from work I am Chairman of Suffolk's Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, Honorary Colonel of Suffolk Army Cadet Force, Chairman of Suffolk St John County Priory Group, Chairman of the St John Gateway, and a Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk. I previously served in the Honourable Artillery Company and the Royal Anglian Regiment for 23 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Relaxation is being with my family (my wife and our three 'boys' - now all grown up!) and friends, entertaining and enjoying fine wine and good food (I'm married to an exceptional cook!), and rearing rare breed pigs.
(Mildly) Interesting fact - when I left school I was a cowboy in Montana.
I am a sector agnostic independent turnaround and restructuring professional and do what I refer to as 'sleeves rolled up' assignments, in there at the deep end as CRO, CEO or Exec Chairman, pulling together, directing and leading multidisciplinary teams, sorting out the issues and doing whatever heavy lifting may be required.
